Frequently asked questions
General
Step 1 – Accept Terms Before Opening
Each unit includes a physical seal with a tag outlining terms of use.
If you agree to the terms:
Cut the seal
Remove the tag
Proceed with setup
By cutting the seal, you acknowledge acceptance of lawful-use requirements and assume responsibility for safe operation.
If you do not agree, do not cut the seal.
Step 2 – Open the Case & Locate the Bluetooth Controller
Open the ERAD case.
Inside, you will find:
The Bluetooth controller
Wired to the amplifier
The Bluetooth controller must be powered separately.
Step 3 – Power the Bluetooth Controller
Plug the Bluetooth controller into:
A USB power bank, or
A standard outlet on an external high-capacity power station
⚠️ A larger external battery bank is recommended for stable performance.
Step 4 – Power On the Handheld Sound Device
Turn on the small handheld audio device.
Scroll through the preset ERAD-style sound profiles.
The FIRST FEW 'TRACKS' is the most tested and widely used training signature.
Select the desired sound profile.
Step 5 – Connect Main System Power
Use the 12V cigarette-style connector to connect the ERAD system to an external 12V power source.
This powers the amplifier and speaker system.
Important Power Note
The amplifier power and Bluetooth controller power may cause interference if both are drawing from the same battery source.
If humming or feedback is heard:
Ensure all RCA connections are fully seated and tight
Verify all power connections are secure
Power devices independently when possible
Minor humming often resolves once all components are fully powered and stabilized.
Step 6 – Set Volume Safely
⚠️ START AT THE LOWEST VOLUME SETTING.
Begin at minimum output
Gradually increase as needed
Never jump directly to high output
Hearing protection is strongly recommended and required above minimal volume levels.
This is a high-output acoustic system.
Deployment
Once powered and configured:
Position the unit as needed
Ensure clear speaker direction
Maintain safe distance from reflective surfaces and personnel
Monitor output and environmental conditions
Use responsibly and lawfully at all times.
Each unit is individually hand-assembled using durable, field-ready components, including:
Waterproof, mil-spec style protective case
High-output amplifier platform
Bluetooth audio capability (with optional direct connection)
Four (4) 100–200W law-enforcement–grade speakers
Configurable layout for 360° presence or directional projection
The system includes multiple variations of the ERAD-style sound signature, allowing users to train and test different acoustic profiles.
Each batch may include minor refinements or improvements as we continue to evolve the design.
No, it is however, water resistant - depending on how you run the external power cable.
The protective case is weather-resistant and designed to withstand harsh outdoor conditions. However, the unit is not intended to be submerged. Users should avoid direct exposure to heavy rain, standing water, or extreme environmental abuse.
Because each unit is custom-built and hand-assembled, we do not accept returns unless the product is defective.
These are not mass-produced retail items. They are built in limited batches by one guy.
What is the warranty period?
We offer a 10-Day Functional Testing Warranty from the date of delivery.
This period allows the purchaser to:
Verify output
Confirm functionality
Ensure all components are operating as intended
Ten days is sufficient to test the system’s performance under controlled conditions..
Why Only 10 Days?
This is a high-output acoustic system. Once used in the field, environmental conditions vary widely, including:
Weather exposure
Power source variability
Volume levels
Handling and transport
As a small independent manufacturer, we cannot accept open-ended returns or misuse-related claims.
We stand behind functional defects — but we cannot absorb discretionary or experience-based returns.
Each Mobile L.R.A.D. Unit™ includes a physical tag or tamper indicator.
By cutting or removing the tag, the purchaser:
Acknowledges acceptance of all terms
Accepts full responsibility for lawful use
Agrees to use the system only for legal training or lawful animal deterrence
Assumes all risks associated with ownership and operation
If the purchaser does not agree, the tag should not be cut and the system should not be used.
